The International Association of Sedimentology meeting was held in Marrakesh, Morocco, which I got to visit for the first time. The meeting was great, and lots of good friends and colleagues were there. In association with the meeting, Gian Ori put together a fantastic field trip, emphasizing landforms and features like we'd find on other planets, in the eastern desert of Morocco.
